When Raechel from Raechel Denise Photography asked me to do a lifestyle shoot with her, I was beyond excited!  Her work is amazing - her photographs capture that eternal sunshine one can only get when the person behind the lens also exudes that same kind of "sunny" - and so, it was a perfect collaboration. 

As you know, Sunny Side of Gray has been my ever growing work in progress, a place where I can share my eternal optimistic views on life through fashion, photography, graphic design, inspiring words, and more.  Raechel was able to capture every essence of my Sunny Side style - from my signature silly faces, the major wrist candy and accessory overload, my love for all things vintage combined with modern elements, and my all time fave - POPS OF COLOR.

The shoot took place in none other than our hometown of San Diego, where the Downtown art scene includes beautiful murals, bright colors on the walls, and cute vintage shops just steps away from the harbor.  Most of the photos were taken in Little Italy and I am so excited to finally share them with you!

My good friend Shirley also came along to act as photo assistant for the day - taking "behind the scenes shots" and being my overall savior when it came to posing for photos.  I'm not very good at the serious face (if you know me well) - so being able to glance over at her smiling face was a huge help!  Being a model for a day is tough work! :)
